The jury consisting of: Krzysztof Majchrzak (chairman), Lidia Duda, Magdalena Nieć, Jacek Adamczak and Łukasz Maciejewski decided to award the Witold Kon Grand Prix in the independent film category to the film AN ORANGE FROM JAFFA directed by Mohammed Almughanni
The Award of the Mayor of Konin in the amount of PLN 5,000

Film synopsis: Mohammed and Farouk seemingly have little in common. Mohammed has returned to Palestine for a short visit, carrying a permanent residence card and the promise of a peaceful future. Farouk, on the other hand, is a young taxi driver condemned to live in one of the world's most dangerous places. When their lives intersect, stark differences emerge, creating tensions that are hard to navigate. Can Mohammed and Farouk bridge their divides when confronted with the arrogance of Israeli soldiers?

The film was made in cooperation with Gaza Films, War on Screen, Centre National de la Cinematographie, Arte France and Palestinian Cultural Fund.

In addition, the Youth Jury composed of: Olga Bilińska, Maja Wyganowska, Jakub Flakowski decided that the award will be given to the film FRESHMAN directed by Michał Edelman and Tomasz Pawlik (Lodz Film School graduates), produced by Munk Studio, for the camera's sensitivity and understanding towards the characters and the special aesthetic quality of the shots.
The prize in the amount of PLN 1,000 was funded by the Mayor of Konin.

The Closing Gala also saw the nominations for the Jan Machulski Awards.
