On 22, June, a new edition of guided city film tours as part of the UNESCO City of Film Trail begins. It promises to be exceptional, with each tour coming with a surprise.
Instead of the well-known, marked walking paths, participants will take part in unique expeditions, the course of which has been developed by city guides - Justyna Tomaszewska, Krzysztof Olkusz and Bartosz Mielniczek. Although these will not be traditional, marked paths, each tour will include selected places from all three main routes of the Trail - " Oscar Łódź ", "Following Oscar winning artists’ footsteps" and " "With the series through Łódź".
The tours will take place on the following days: June 22, July 20, August 17 and September 21.
This summer, film buffs can look forward to yet another attraction. During two summer Sundays – July 27 and August 24 – you can take a unique trambus tour of the film locations where Andrzej Wajda's cult film "The Promised Land" was shot. It is worth mentioning that the film, considered a masterpiece of Polish cinema, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
Both the walking and the trambus tours start at 11 a.m. at the ticket offices of the National Centre for Film Culture in EC1. Tickets for the walking tours are available for sale – both at the EC1 and online on the EC1 website.
Tickets for the trambus tours will be available soon.
Each tour ticket entitles you to visit the "Kino Polonia" exhibition at the National Centre for Film Culture and is valid for 30 days from the date of the event.
Tickets priced at PLN 25 can be purchased online: bilety.ec1lodz.pl/rezerwacja/termin
