Among the winners are our students, graduates and lecturers, but most importantly – the Golden Hobby-Horse and the Golden Dragon of the short film competition go to Artem Rachkelyuk for LOOK HOMEWARD!
Here are our winners:
* NATIONAL COMPETITION *
The jury of the National Competition – short film section – consisting of: Magdalena Kamińska (chairwoman), Kaja Krawczyk-Wnuk, and Wiola Sowa, awarded the Golden Hobby-Horse to the director of the best short fiction film: Artem Rachkelyuk (graduate of directing) for the film LOOK HOMEWARD (produced by the Lodz Film School). Jury statement: for a beautifully acted, mindful journey into the interior of a protagonist at a crossroads.

The Golden Hobby-Horse for the director of the best documentary film under 30 minutes was awarded to Wojciech Węglarz (cinematography student) for BLOODLINE (produced by Munk Studio).
The winner of the Golden Hobby-Horse for the director of the best documentary film over 30 minutes is Wojciech Staroń (lecturer in cinematography) for the film THE PASSION OF AGNIESZKA (produced by Staron Film).
The Golden Hobby-Horse for the director of the best animated film was awarded to Daria Kopiec (graduate of animated film and special effects) for THE POOL OR DEATH OF A GOLD FISH (prod. Marmolada Films).
Special Mentions were given to:
Damian Kosowski (directing graduate) for the film PEOPLE & THINGS (prod. Munk Studio)
Paulina Ziółkowska (animation graduate) – director of the film TEARS (prod. Wait a Second!)
The Wrocław Feature Film Studio decided to award Jakub Prysak for his film Nothing Else (prod. Munk Studio) for his debut as a creator of a first or second fiction film .
The creators of Child of Dust (dir. Weronika Milczewska, prod. Ya Man Studio)were also recognized by the Polish Filmmakers Association, which awarded Marcin Sucharski (editing lecturer) and Mateusz Romaszkan for editing.
* INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION *
The International Short Film Competition jury – chaired by Anna Bławut-Mazurkiewicz – awarded the Golden Dragon for director of the best film to Artem Rachkelyuk for Look Homeward. (prod. Lodz Film School) The jury statement reads: For an elegant portrayal of the existential crisis experienced by young Ukrainian refugees as they strive to save the future of their homeland.
A Special Mention went to Daria Kopiec (animation graduate) for another festival film, i.e. It’s All Because of Her. (prod. Munk Studio) However, this is not the only distinction for the director – Kopiec was also recognised by the jury of the International Federation of Film Clubs (FICC)

On Friday evening, 30, May, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, awards were presented as part of the KFF Industry programme.

FIXAFILM Award — for the project The Herd, dir. Mariusz Biernacki (directing student), prod. Iga Malińska / Play Colors Media
FOR THE PROJECTS PRESENTED AT DOCS TO START:
Cafe Ole Award and DOK LEIPZIG Special Mention — for the project Her Name is Fields dir. Martyna Wróbel (cinematography student), Anna Biernacik, prod. Mozaika Films
