Grand Press Photo is the most important competition in Poland intended for people professionally involved in reportage photography, including press and documentary photography, working in press and internet editorial offices, photo agencies and as freelancers.

This year, the awards were decided by the Jury composed of: chairman Mohammed Salem (Gaza Strip), Wojciech Grzędziński, Weronika Kobylińska, Weronika Mirowska, Marteen Schilt (Netherlands) and Andrzej Zygmuntowicz. They selected 64 single photos (Singles), 12 reportages (Stories) and 5 documentary projects (Documentary Projects) for the final stage of the Competition.

In the People – Single category (partnered by the City of Gdańsk), the main prize was awarded to Paula Mroczkowska, our photography student.

Among the winners were also our graduates: Marek M. Berezowski (in the Current Events – Single category) and Bartosz Mateńko (in the Sport – Single category).
