Małgorzata Kotlińska, lecturer at the Lodz Film School, participated in the Green Education in Media panel during the Krakow Film Festival.

On 27, May, a panel discussion GEM – Green Education in Media, organized as part of the Krakow Film Festival at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts, was held.

The event was attended by Dr. Małgorzata Kotlińska – our lecturer. During the panel, the influence of media education on promoting a sustainable approach to creating audiovisual content in the context of global climate and technological challenges was discussed.

The panel was part of the GEM – Green Education in Media project, co-funded by Erasmus+ (grant number: 2022-1-DE01-KA220-HED-000088645). The project aims to update media education curricula with the principles of sustainable design and critical reflection on the impact of technology on the environment.

The participants in the discussion were: – Sophie Tummescheit (Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF), – Nicole Loeser (The Institute for Art and Innovation, Berlin), – Monika Głowacka (Polish Centre for the Development of Creative Industries).

The discussion was hosted by dr Marta Materska-Samek.

The participation of the Lodz Film School in this event was another step towards promoting socially and environmentally responsible artistic education.
