Our students participating in the Netflix series project development programme had the opportunity to discuss their projects with producer and script consultant Naomi Levari.
The workshop which was organized in cooperation with Netflix took place on 19 and 20, May.
This time, the participants had an opportunity to meet Naomi Levari, a producer who works on projects mainly in Germany and Israel, a great script consultant and an excellent mentor in many series development programmes realized in various parts of the world. More information about Naomi Levari can be read at firstcutlab.eu/project/naomi-levari-fcl-editorial-consultant.
In her lecture, Naomi presented a producer's perspective on TV series projects and drew the participants' attention to what they should follow to make their projects unique.
However, the most important goal of the meeting was to consult the scripts that our student teams worked on under the supervision of 3 screenwriting lecturers. Naomi assessed them from a new and external perspective, taking into account which intentions of the writers were conveyed and which should be strengthened. The talks examined the potential of the projects and diagnosed problems. Each group had the opportunity for a two-hour face-to-face consultation with Naomi, who had previously familiarized herself with the materials provided by the teams.
