Polish Television is the organizer of the PROMISED LAND competition which aims to support the development of young filmmakers and promote their creative work. The competition is aimed at students of public film and art schools who want to make their own short film.

The Contest participants are creative teams consisting of a producer, director and screenwriter. Active students of film and art schools may take part in the competition. The competition finalists will receive PLN 250,000 for the production of the film, as well as support in its promotion, broadcasting on television and distribution. In addition, the university whose students create the best film will be awarded PLN 300,000.

Competition stages:
• Stage I (01.10.2024 – 31.05.2025) Film projects can be submitted until 31, March, 2025. At this stage, the organizer will select the 24 best projects that will advance to the next stage.
• Stage II (01.06.2025 – 30.06.2025) The teams will be expected to supplement their projects with additional materials. A jury of experts will select 12 screenplays that will be qualified for production.
• Stage III (01.07.2025 – 31.01.2026) Teams have time until 31, December, 2025 to produce a film. The best film will be announced on 31, January, 2026.

Competition schedule:
• Start of the competition: 1, October, 2024
• Deadline for submitting applications: 31, March, 2025
• Announcement of finalists: 30, June, 2025
• Film production period: from 1, July 2025 to 31, December, 2025
• Deadline for submitting finished films: 31, December, 2025
• Best film announcement: 31, January, 2026
