Success at the Digital Arts Zurich - our School's lecturer was one of the first artists to receive the Digital Arts Media Art Festival in Zurich award. Congratulations!

Dr. Filip Gabriel Pudło, lecturer at the Cinematography and TV Production Department of our School, performed at the largest media art festival in Switzerland – Digital Arts Zurich, from which he returns with an award in the Performance category. The awards presentation ceremony took place at the Museum für Gestaltüng in Zurich.

This is the 5th edition of Digital Arts Zurich, which consists of interactive exhibitions, audiovisual concerts and a conference combining digital art and science. For the first time in the history of this festival, artists were awarded prizes.

What was our lecturer awarded for? Performed live by Filip Gabriel Pudło, the generative audiovisual performance - "The who solved the man world" - immerses viewers in an experience based on the latest economic and social data. The innovative performance draws on constantly updated information from the Economist.com platform, reflecting the current, global situation. The images generated in real time use a data set on global economic trends, social movements, and political and environmental events. The show offers freedom in searching for new meanings, associations and inspirations, allowing each viewer to create their own narrative based on dynamically changing visual and sound stimuli. The artist's performance is both an explication and an exemplification of his understanding of generativity in art, presenting the creative process as a dynamic dialogue between control and randomness.
