This is the largest festival in Switzerland dedicated to contemporary media art. The lecturer of the Cinematography Department of our School will present his audiovisual show three times.
Dr. Filip Gabriel Pudło, lecturer at the Cinematography and TV Production Department of our School, has received an invitation to the largest media art festival in Switzerland – Digital Arts Zurich. On 31, October (Thursday), he will perform an audiovisual show at the Museum für Gestaltung, and on 1 and 2, November, he will repeat it twice in the Wasserkirche church in the centre of Zurich.
Live, generative audiovisual performance immerses viewers in an experience informed by the latest economic and social data. The innovative performance draws on constantly updated information from the Economist.com platform, reflecting the current global situation. The real-time images use a dataset of global economic trends, social movements, and political and environmental events.
The show offers freedom in searching for new meanings, associations and inspirations, allowing each viewer to create their own narrative based on dynamically changing visual and sound stimuli. The artist's performance is both an explication and an exemplification of his understanding of generativity in art, presenting the creative process as a dynamic dialogue between control and randomness.
Digital Arts Zurich is Switzerland's largest festival dedicated to contemporary media art. The Zurich festival features exhibitions, concerts and performances of media art, including installations, VR art, video art and AI. The festival also includes a multi-day conference dedicated to the field of media art. www.da-z.net
