Piotr Dumała’s film competed in the Polish Competition at the Cracow Film Festival. The festival jury consisting of: Jerzy Śladkowski – the president; Filip Dzierżawski, Piotr Lenar, Irena Strzałkowska, and Zbigniew Żmudzki decided to award the film "Hipopotamy" with the Silver Lajkonik. The Festival winner - the film "Efekt domina" by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski, was awarded the Golden Lajkonik in the Polish Competition and Golden Horn in the International Documentary Competition. During the Festival four Lodz Film School student films were presented: "Światło w sierpniu" by Matej Bobrik, "Fragmenty" by Aga Woszczyńska, "Nieprawdopodobnie elastyczny człowiek" by Karolina Specht and "Konstrukcja" by Andrea Guizar. Altogether 99 films were presented at the Festival, 42 of which were Polish films. The 54th Festival finished on 1st June. "Hipopotamy" available at filmpolski.pl
