FILMED is a project under the Erasmus+ programme in which we participate together with the Netherlands Film Academy (Amsterdam) and HDK Valand (Gothenburg).

In a world dominated by images and sounds, we still rely mainly on linguistic methods of transmitting knowledge - even in the field of film education.

The aim of the “FILMED – Laboratory for film education project. From discourse to practice” intended for film school lecturers is to create better, inclusive and innovative teaching programmes aimed at educating competent, critically thinking and responsible students who use audiovisual media in their work. Three schools are taking part in the FILMED project - the Lodz Film School, the Netherlands Film Academy (Amsterdam) and HDK Valand (Gothenburg, Sweden).

The bootcamp in Amsterdam is behind us - the first working meeting of school teams as part of the FILMED project. Six such meetings are to be held during the three years of its operation. At the same time, school teams will work on implementing the main goal of FILMED - finding ways to improve the teaching methodology in film art. Our school was represented at the meeting in Amsterdam by: Marcin Malatyński as the project coordinator on behalf of our School, Jakub Mikurda as the coordinator of the school research group and school lecturers - Kirk Kjeldsen, Jacek Nagłowski and Krzysztof Pijarski.
