The 43rd Koszalin Film Debuts Festival "Youth and Film" ended on Saturday, 15, June.

Today we are happy to announce the awards our students received:

AMBER AWARD 2024 for the short animated film
10,000 PLN – Canal + award
MOJA MAMA dir. Agnieszka Popińska
Jury statement: For a humorous, moving story about a mother-daughter relationship presented in a simple form of drawing animation.

PRESS AWARD FOR SHORT FILM
MY SECRET CYBERLOVE dir. Bartosz Stankiewicz
Jury statement: For daring play with form and a non-obvious image of Polishness.

Mariusz Rusiński for the film SISTER OF MINE (prod. Studio Munka)

FULL-LENGTH FEATURE DEBUT FILM COMPETITION

* Awards for the film NEXT TO NOTHING directed by Grzegorz Dębowski (film and tv directing graduate):
- GREAT AMBER for full-length feature film debut
- Amber Award for the screenplay and a week's stay at the House of Creative Work of the Polish Filmmakers Association in Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River
- Amber Award for the special creative contribution of a debut artist - Agata Wińska for costumes
- the Arek Tomiak AMBER Cinematography Award - Aleksander Pozdnyakov (cinematography graduate) for cinematography
- Journalists' Award for Full-Length Feature Film

* AMBER Award for acting discovery:
- Artur Paczesny for his role in the film NEXT TO NOTHING directed by Grzegorz Dębowski

- Jakub Zając (acting graduate) for his role in the film HORROR STORY directed by Adrian Apanel.

* the Stanisław Różewicz AMBER Award for directing Klaudiusz Chrostowski (film and tv directing graduate) for directing the film ULTIMA THULE.

* AMBER Award for directing and a week's stay at the Creative Work House of the Polish Filmmakers Association in Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River Piotr Kielar (directing graduate) for the film JA, ROSIŃSKI.

SHORT DEBUT FILM COMPETITION
* Special Mention for the short animated film Anita Kwiatkowska-Naqvi (animation and special effects graduate) for the film MOMO I LULU.
