The anchors are dropped. On 22 and 23, March, the Lodz Film School is stationed at the Iluzjon Cinema in Warsaw. See the report from the opening of the 17th edition of the Lodz Film School Film Review
“I invite you to the Lodz factory of dreams, dreams, and sometimes nightmares. I think we can promise interesting, diverse cinema, a lot of emotions, a lot of good nerve, a lot of sensitivity, originality and sometimes also strangeness. I hope you will have a nice time at the cinema. I would like to thank all the creators of the films to be presented and I wish the audience the best possible experiences,” said Milenia Fiedler, Rector of the Lodz Film School.
Warsaw Iluzjon Cinema was filled with our films on Friday evening, but also with our students, graduates and, most importantly, the audiences of our films. We selected 30 films for them to see, organized in 4 film blocks - a total of 400 minutes of screening.
“We have sailed to you for the 17th time, on our flagship, with the best we have on board, i.e. the latest student films from the Lodz Film School - fiction films, documentaries and animated films,” said Krzysztof Brzezowski, Head of the school Promotion Office. “You must know that last year our films were presented at over 280 festivals, where they won over 110 awards. Now we want to show these films to you.”
The possibility of confronting our films with viewers, journalists and the film industry members, and the opportunity for this is undoubtedly the annual ŁÓDZIĄ PO WIŚLE review, would not be possible without the support of our partners and co-organizers, to whom we are very grateful. These are: National Film Archive - Audiovisual Institute, Kino Iluzjon, Filmpolski.pl, Indeks Film Studio, Laboratory of Visual Narratives vnLab, Camera Action Festival. The task is co-financed from the budget of the Łódź Voivodeship Government.
“I wish you a good screening, have a great time” may the words of Sebastian Maur, the President of our Student Council, be a wish come true for our viewers, for our audience. We are so happy about this meeting, we are so happy that you are here!
