On Thursday evening, 14, March, the Film School Cinema hosted the "WALKI W KLATKACH" event - a screening of animated films created by students of the Lodz Film School.
The initiative was possible thanks to Kacper Zamarło and Marcin Podolec.
The packed audience was not sure what films would be presented until the very end. The viewers saw a total of twelve films. They presented different styles, sense of humour, techniques and various approaches to autobiographical topics. Some were presented for the first or at most second time, others had already participated in festivals and film reviews.
The following films were presented:
„Po drugiej stronie jeziora” by Dominik Kotlarz,
„Such Miracles Do Happen” by Barbara Rupik,
„Moja mama” by Agnieszka Popińska,
„Great Little Giant” by Jakub Dolny,
„Gdzie leży pies pogrzebany” by Renata Mydlak,
„Czy Marek wyjdzie na dwór?” by Marianna Mrozek,
„Can You See?” by Sylwia Watracz,
„RoboCatMaid” by Katarzyna Szczepaniak,
„Szklane złudzenie” by Mikołaj Mirzewski,
„Przepraszam” – team work,
„I know you're afraid too” by Pola Włodarczyk,
„This will not be a festival film” by Julia Orlik-Buratyńska.
After the show, questions were asked to each of the creators related to techniques they used, inspiration sources, time spent on the making of the films. A friendly atmosphere was shared by everyone and, apart from professional questions, there was a lot of laughter and a sense of community.
For more such film emotions and often unique meetings with creators, we invite you to the Film School Cinema every Thursday at 7 p.m. (61/63, Targowa Street).
