Our students participated in the "War on Screen Fabrique" workshop held in Chalons-en-Champagne in France. The theme of the workshop was the broadly understood issue of war and conflict.

The organizers say: "The aim is to present wars and conflicts from as many angles as possible and to better understand their causes, consequences and human motives. The conflicts are real or imaginary implicating at least one state, real or imaginary (wars between nations, terrorist wars, civil wars, climate wars…)".

The workshop is being held as part of the War on Screen International Film Festival organized by the French film school La Fémis and its partners (Lodz Film School, Konrad Wolf Filmuniversität Babelsberg, UNATC Bucharest and ECAM Madrid).

During this year's edition, our school was represented by directing students: Mikołaj Mielczarek and Artem Rachkelyuk, and film production organization students: Michalina Pruska and Daria Przybylska. During the workshop, they worked on screenplays for films about war and conflict under the supervision of experts in directing and production and also established contacts with students from other film schools. As the organizers state,

The War on Screen Fabrique programme aims to contribute at an international level to the emergence of a new generation of screenwriters, producers and directors who are attracted to the issue that now more than ever permeates our society.
