STOPTRIK is a unique international celebration of world stop-motion animation, which takes place in two European countries: Slovenia (Maribor) and Poland (Łódź). Once a year, both cities become the alternative capital of animation - all thanks to the festival with a high-quality film programme, inspiring accompanying events and professional stop-motion filmmaking workshops. This is the 13th edition of the first and one of the largest stop motion film festivals in Europe and one of six worldwide!

The slogan of this year's edition is CENSORSHIP. Living in times described by Chantal Mouffe as "post-political", we are constantly dealing with censorship and propaganda, led by various pathologies generated in contemporary media and communication channels. The StopTrik Festival sticks to the idea of cultural criticism, sincerely committing itself to looking beneath the surface of animated visual creations.

This year, we meet from 8 to 10, December at the Lodz Film School, the Museum of Film in Łódź, the MeMo Mediateka and the Tubajka café.

This year, we will also take a closer look at the work of MARCIN GIŻYCKI, a film and art historian, animator, founder and long-time artistic director of the ANIMATOR Festival.

The producer of the 13th StopTrik International Film Festival is Pekarna Magdalenske mreže. The co-producer of the Polish edition of StopTrik is the FilmETER Film Association. The partners of the event are the Lodz Film School, the City Library in Łódź, the MeMo Mediateka, the Museum of Film in Łódź, the Polish Animation Research Group, the O!PLA Animation Festival, the Fruit & Vegetables Club-Cafe.
