We take a look at the workshop that took place as part of the MEDIA PRACTICE class. Its participants were students of cinematography, acting and photography.

A virtual set design workshop on an LED wall took place at the Warsaw Virtual / Heliograf studio in Warsaw this November. 3rd-year students of cinematography, acting and photography had the opportunity to learn about new and dynamically developing technology related to the field of virtual reality, which now forms the basis for imaging in film, television and theatre.

Firstly, there was a theoretical introduction, then practice during which students performed scenes together in various locations. During the exercises, they faced challenges related to new technology, such as camera movement tracking system, optics and lighting of the virtual and real set, and virtual and real set design.

The workshop took place as part of the MEDIA PRACTICE class conducted by Prof. Elżbieta Protakiewicz and Dr. Filip Gabriel Pudło in cooperation with Prof. Ireneusz Czop. The workshop was organized by Magdalena Troszczyńska.
