It is not a ghost but the father's soul that turns up at King Claudius' wake, like the Chochol in The Wedding by Wyspiański,. Its presence is felt only by Hamlet, a rebellious youth, the heir to the throne rejected by his mother, torn between his love for Ophelia and mourning after his father's death. Hamlet reads the signs conveyed by the apparition, starting once again Shakespeare's mythical story. At the same time, the world of the play falls apart, just like Hamlet's personality. Each of the Hamlets presented in the play represents a different dominant feature of this archetypal character, from pitiless ruthlessness to an anarchic sense of humour. In the inverted world of "Hamlet", normality becomes a symptom of illness, and madness - an attempt to restore justice, a fight for freedom and self-awareness. The provocative presence of Hamlet becomes remorse and a splinter for the remaining characters. It also brings misfortune, which we present in the extensive story of Ophelia. Theatre in the sense of "Hamlet" is a mirror of nature. Therefore, our Hamlet, using the techniques and language of post-dramatic theatre, directs a self-reflective look at the form of the diploma spectacle. It asks a question about the agency and power of theatre.
