A Senate gathering on the occasion of the 75th Lodz Film School ANNIVERSARY and the awarding of Doctor Honoris Causa degrees to AGNIESZKA HOLLAND, MAJA KOMOROWSKA, EWA PUSZCZYŃSKA and EWA RUBINSTEIN.
The ceremonial meeting of the Senate on the occasion of the 75th ANNIVERSARY of the Lodz Film School and the awarding of Doctor Honoris Causa degrees to AGNIESZKA HOLLAND, MAJA KOMOROWSKA, EWA PUSZCZYŃSKA and EWA RUBINSTEIN will be held on 12, October, at 11:00, in the Machine Hall EC1 Łódź - City of Culture.
Admission to the ceremony upon presentation of an invitation.
The decision to initiate the procedure for awarding the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to Agnieszka Holland was made by the School Senate at the request of the Council of the Film and Television Directing Department.
The promoter of the proceedings is Prof. Filip Bajon (Lodz Film School), reviewers: Prof. Tadeusz Lubelski and Prof. Tadeusz Szczepański (Lodz Film School).
The decision to initiate the procedure for awarding the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to Maja Komorowska was made by the School Senate at the request of the Council of the Acting Department.
The promoter of the proceedings is Prof. Bronisław Wrocławski (Lodz Film School), reviewers: Agnieszka Glińska, PhD (Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow) and Prof. Wiesław Komasa (Theatre Academy in Warsaw).
The decision to initiate the procedure for awarding the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to Ewa Puszczyńska was made by the School Senate at the request of the Council of the Organization of Film Art Department.
The promoter of the proceedings is Monika Talarczyk, PhD (Lodz Film School), reviewers: Marcin Adamczak, PhD (A. Mickiewicz University in Poznań) and Dr. Anna Pachnicka (Lodz Film School).
The decision to initiate the procedure for awarding the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to Ewa Rubinstein was made by the School Senate at the request of the Council of the Cinematography and Television Production Department.
The promoter of the proceedings is Prof. Marek Szyryk (Lodz Film School), reviewers: Prof. Prot Jarnuszkiewicz (Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw) and Tomasz Ferenc, PhD (University of Lodz).
These extraordinary Artists will join the distinguished group of people who have so far received the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa of the Lodz Film School. They are: Jerzy Toeplitz, Andrzej Wajda, Roman Polański, Jerzy Kawalerowicz, Wojciech Jerzy Has, Vittorio Storaro, Jerzy Mierzejewski, Zbigniew Rybczyński, Tadeusz Różewicz, Martin Scorsese, Michael Haneke, Janusz Gajos, Kazimierz Karabasz, Kazimierz Kutz and Jerzy Wójcik.
