On 2, October, the new academic year will be inaugurated jointly by Łódź universities: Łódź University, University of Technology, Medical University, Film School, Academy of Fine Arts, Music Academy
On Monday, 2, October, 2023, at 12.00 at the Artur Rubinstein Łódź Philharmonic Hall (20/22, Narutowicza Street), the first joint new academic year inauguration ceremony for public universities in Łódź since the establishment of the Łódź Academic Partnership (ŁAP) will take place.
The programme of the event:
* National anthem - performed by the Choir of the Academy of Music in Łódź
* Speech by the Rector of the Łódź University, Prof. Elżbieta Żądzińska * Matriculation of newly admitted students and PhD students
* Gaude Mater Polonia – performed by the Choir of the Academy of Music in Łódź
* Speeches by the guests invited to the ceremony
* Inaugural lecture by Dr. Sławosz Uznański entitled "A new look at our planet: from manned space flights to Earth observations"
* Gaudeamus igitur - performed by the Choir of the Academy of Music in Łódź
* Artistic show by Lodz Film School Acting Department students
