An outstanding cinematographer, graduate, lecturer, Dean of the Cinematography Dept., has received an invitation to join the group of members of the American Academy of Motion Picture, Arts & Sciences

An outstanding cinematographer, graduate, lecturer and Dean of the Cinematography Department, has received an invitation to join the group of members of the American Academy of Motion Picture, Arts and Sciences! Congratulations! Jolanta Dylewska is an outstanding cinematographer who worked among others on films “Conversation with a Cupboard Man” and "Queen of Angels" by Mariusz Grzegorzek, "In Darkness" and "Spoor" by Agnieszka Holland, and "Tulpan" and "Ayka" by Sergiej Dworcewoj. She is our graduate, long-term lecturer and from 2020, the Dean of the Cinematography and Television Production Department.

An invitation to be a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which decides on awarding the Oscars, was also sent to our graduates - AGNIESZKA GLIŃSKA, a graduate of editing, and KATE McCULLOUGH, a cinematography graduate. Among the Polish women who were invited to the esteemed group this year, there is also actress JOANNA KULIG, director AGNIESZKA SMOCZYŃSKA and screenwriter EWA PIASKOWSKA.

Congratulations to all the ladies!

Today, the Academy which decides on awarding the statuettes has 9,375 members. Among them are outstanding representatives of all film professions, coming from various corners of the world, noticed and honoured with the invitation thanks to their outstanding professional achievements.

The next Oscars ceremony will take place on 10, March, 2024.
