The latest issue of "gazeta-fotograficzna.org", which will be distributed during the Photofestival, is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Photography faculty at our school.
We invite you to its promotion on 21, June.
In addition, copies of the newspaper will be available free of charge in over 50 points throughout Poland!
In the newspaper, readers will find interviews with Józef Robakowski and Marek Szyryk, in which the issues of artistic education and the history of the Film School are discussed, a text by Paweł Bownik on the specificity of photography balancing on the border between advertising and art, a historical essay by Lech Lechowicz on the Film Form Workshop, reflections by Filip Gabriel Pudło on augmented photography and AI in the context of photography, and Adrian Wykrota's article on documentary in Poland. Articles are illustrated photos from photographic projects of students and graduates of photography such as Małgorzata Fatalska, Magdalena Nowicka, Paulina Pior, Dorota Kozieradzka and Agnieszka K. Jurek.
The publication is the result of the initiative of an assistant professor from the Photography faculty and content editor Dr. Weronika Kobylińska.
After the paper run is exhausted (5,000 copies), the issue will be available in its entirety via the periodical's website: gazeta-fotograficzna.org
We also invite you on 21, June (Wednesday), at 17:00, for a debate on issues raised in the "newspaper", organized in cooperation with Photofestival.
The discussion entitled "Three decades of photography" will take place in the Cinema of the Film School. The editor-in-chief of the magazine, Artur Rychlicki, as well as Weronika Kobylińska, Tomasz Ferenc and Dominika Sadowska will talk about changing the ways of presenting photography and defining the framework of the medium in the context of contemporary artistic phenomena.
