This is a modern version of the Oedipus myth. The action of the film takes place in an undefined place (in a town at the foot of a cliff, between a rubbish dump, barns and a forest), where people hide painful secrets. After years of absence, Diana returns to town with milk dripping from her breasts. She is depressed and has lapses in memory. Her return coincides with a crime committed in the nearby forest. Things get complicated when the main suspect Maj befriends ten-year-old Dagmara, the daughter of the victim. Their relationship is based on exceptional sensitivity and opposition to the corrupt world. When a horsetail wraps around them while they are playing in the river, Maj knows it's a bad sign.
