We invite you to the opening of the exhibition MEMORY HIDDEN IN HAIR - a space created by our student Daria Irena Górniewska and a student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, designer Alex Gajel.
Exhibition opening on 2, June, at 6 p.m.
"A thick forest, in which while roller-skating, I watch the mound - the Mound of Immortality, fenced with three gigantic cement guns, I see a metal fence raised in front of me, I’m approaching it from a steep road, I jump over it, I fly through the branches of trees - not for long and not too fast - I fall into a hole, and there is a nest there, it’s dark."
Tackling the topics of heritage, family, ethnicity, culture, folklore of your country and illustrating the connection through the prism of an adult author’s look at her past life.
The collection is the result of interpreting the theme through a search for hidden subtexts, epoch-making people who had a huge impact on the evolution of the author's personality, prophetic moments and situations. Key elements include ethnic attire that encourages the search for hidden cultural codes apart from the obvious fact of belonging to a given nation.
Daria Irena Górniewska (photography student) was invited to interpret the themes through her own eyes and present the results in the exhibition collection which will open at the Szklarnia DWA Gallery at the Lodz Film School on Friday, 2, June at 6:00 p.m.
