Special screening of the found footage documentary SOLARIS MON AMOUR dir. Kuba Mikurda in the Illumination series of the 63rd Krakow Film Festival.

The Illumination is a non-competitive section of the Krakow Film Festival:

“The protagonist of possibly the best picture by Krzysztof Zanussi, awarded with the Grand Prix in Locarno in 1973 keeps searching for the truth about himself and the world with a desire to find enlightenment. Such illumination is also required by the characters of the films screened and awarded at prestigious film festivals as well as their authors in order to create outstanding works of art not lending themselves well to simple interpretation. (…)" write the curators

SOLARIS MON AMOUR is the latest production of the Visual Narrative Laboratory (vnLab) operating at the Lodz Film School.

Synopsis:
An extraordinary found footage documentary inspired by Stanisław Lem’s „Solaris”. A trance-like, personal story about loss, mourning & memory. The film consists of excerpts from 70 educational films and radio adaptations of „Solaris” from the 1960s.
