ABOUT THE SHOW

"I think about these people. I've been thinking about them for many years. I think about Tomasz and Teresa. A man and a woman, Czechoslovakia, 1968, Prague Spring ... These characters have been haunting me for so long, they come to me even in my dreams, they beg for my attention, they keep bugging me, they want something from me. Who are they? Who are they... for each other? What do they actually have in common? What to call it? How to show it in the theatre? Are we allowed to do it at all? Do we have the right to talk about things like that? What do you think?"

Three pairs of young actors meet at an audition for a play based on Milan Kundera's novel, “The Unbearable Lightness of Being”. Each of them has different motivations and different expectations, but all of them are impatiently waiting to meet the mysterious visionary who, having sacrificed his own life for art, denied even his name and took the pseudonym Maestro. What tasks did he prepare for the actors auditioning? And will he be able to convince them to his vision?
