On Friday, April 28, at 17:00 at the Museum of the City of Lodz, there will be a meeting devoted to the book "Videoart. Video Art in Poland 1973-1985” by Tomasz Samosionek.
This is the latest offer of the Lodz Film School Publishing House. Friday's meeting will be hosted by Adam Klimczak from the Museum of the City of Lodz.
"Videoart" is a unique item. The first version of the book documented the development of Polish video art. The specificity of this trend was the combination of neo-avant-garde tendencies and libertarian attitudes. Years later, the author returned to the information and documents collected on an ongoing basis and gathered them into an impressive historical source.
Today, video is not a pioneering technique. The neo-avant-garde is already a classic of the 20th century art. But the ability to manipulate the video message is still a hot topic.
