"You have as much film as you can bring to the screen, overcoming various obstacles along the way." J. J. Kolski & G. Jaroszuk run a workshop for directing students.

"You have as much film as you can bring to the screen, overcoming various obstacles along the way." The first one is usually you yourself insisting to carry out ideas you came up with at home in front of the computer. You are afraid that the world in which your film is to come true will rob you of your imagination. It won't rob you, don't be afraid. Open your eyes, look around you - listen...

This year, nature and the Maker have given you riches beyond all measure. Summer sun, spring rain, downpours, snowstorms, frosts; you’ve got almost everything. You've been working with your eyes wide open, seeing not only these various blessings, but more importantly, seeing… each other. Agata, Grzesiek and I are proud of you. The screen will show - I'm sure - that you have delivered a complete, heartfelt message to it. Thank you". - this is how Jan Jakub Kolski, the artistic supervisor of this fiction film project, addressed the students, participants of the workshop in Nowica (Beskid Niski). Grzegorz Jaroszuk was also in charge of the workshop, and Agata Golańska was in charge of production.

The workshop is the realization of a short, approximately 30-minute feature film. Students work on all stages of film production. The task of the 4th year students of directing is to work on the screenplay (adaptation of a short story), select collaborators (DOP, editor, set designer, costumes, editing, etc.), choosing actors and a location appropriate for the text – documenting the location, and finally directing, editing, sound mixing and bringing the project to the screen.

The shoot was organized in the village of Nowica in the Low Beskids. “We would like to wholeheartedly thank our hosts from Nowica - Mikołaj and Jessi from Agrotourism “Na Przysłupiu”, without whom this project would not be the same. We experienced great hospitality and openness,” says Agata Golańska.
