The school has been educating filmmakers for 75 years. Our graduates have created and are still creating Polish cinema, their names fill the credits of Polish and foreign films, receive laurels, awards and honours at festivals and competitions around the world. It is impossible to list them all in such a way that nobody important is omitted. And everyone was important. It is impossible to list the films made here. It is also impossible to count the emotions, experiences, impressions and relationships that had their beginning here.

- I would like us to celebrate the jubilee of our School together - we who are present within its walls now together with graduates, lecturers and employees who created it in the past. The Lodz Film School is not only an address at Targowa, but also a 'genius loci' - the sum of experiences, thoughts, emotions, ideas, dreams, creative struggles which were accompanied by fears and joys, ups and downs of people who have been and still are part of the School. We dream of evoking this spirit on the occasion of the jubilee! - says the Rector of the School, Prof. Milenia Fiedler.

It can be counted in years. So yes, today, on March 8, 2023, 75 years have passed.
We intend to celebrate this anniversary all year until the official inauguration of the academic year in October.
The first occasion to celebrate it will be from 17 to 18 March during the 16th Lodz Film School Film Review ŁODZIĄ PO WIŚLE, at the Warsaw ILUZJON Cinema.
Keep an eye out for more. We plan to celebrate, talk and meet.
