Since its beginning the main aim of the Festival "Łodzią po Wiśle" has been the promotion of Lodz Film School students, confrontation of their work with a wide audience and film circles through creating a forum for discussion about the future of the Polish cinema. The number of viewers has been increasing with each festival edition and the discussions following the screenings are very inspiring. The films screened during "Łodzią po Wiśle" get noticed and later win awards at Polish and international festivals.
