Polish Days is the most important film industry event of the New Horizons IFF co-organized by the Polish Film Institute. As part of the event, industry representatives from around the world attend closed screenings to learn about the latest Polish films at every stage of production: they watch completed films or just fragments of the films at the post-production stage. They also listen to pitchings of projects – works-in-progress. Polish Days is an excellent opportunity for producers and filmmakers to promote their projects and to find foreign partners.

THE HORSE TAIL is an auteur film and a full-length feature debut by Justyna Łuczaj. The producer of the film is the Wojciech Jerzy Has INDEKS Film Studio, operating at the Lodz Film School, which supports school graduates with the production of their debut films.

It is a neo-noir story based on the myth of Oedipus. This is a modern version of the Oedipus myth. The action of the film takes place in an undefined place (in a town at the foot of a cliff, between a rubbish dump, barns and a forest), where people hide painful secrets. After years of absence, Diana returns to town with milk dripping from her breasts. She is depressed and has lapses in memory. Her return coincides with a crime committed in the nearby forest. Things get complicated when the main suspect Maj befriends ten-year-old Dagmara, the daughter of the victim. Their relationship is based on exceptional sensitivity and opposition to the corrupt world. When a horsetail wraps around them while they are play in the river, Maj knows it's a bad sign.
