The screenings of documentary films made by first year direction students accompanied by encounters with the young film makers will be held on 5, Jan at 7 p.m. AOIA invites you to the "Pop'n'Art" Club

at 6, Plac Wolności. Free admission.

Young artists: students and graduates of the Directing Department of the Lodz Film School present their documentary films within the frame-work of "Student film: Encounters". The programme covers the films made between 2000 and now.

The review of documentaries made over the last 20 years will make our viewers, who are mostly young people and peers of film directors, realize how much the student documentary film has evolved in that period, how the topics and the film language have changed, how new technologies have influenced the documentary film and where it is heading now.
For the young artists who are about to start their professional career, the encounters with the audience are often their first live contacts with the viewer.
On the other hand, for future film critics from the Film Experts Science Club at the Lodz University, conducting such meetings is a great training in public appearances and opens up broader perspectives on the perception of the short documentary.

The screening programme on January 5 includes the following documentary films made by the students after the 1st year of their studies at the Film and Television Directing Dept.:

"Dobre geny", dir. Karolina Biesiacka, artistic supervision Martin Rath "Biały cień”", dir. Li-Liang Wu, artistic supervision Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz
