Our graduates and lecturers among the Eagle winners!

This year the Polish Film Academy Awards have been granted for the 16th time. Maciej Stuhr was the presenter of the Gala which took place at the Polski Theatre in Warsaw on March 10th. The actors and filmmakers of  "Ida" and "Papusza" won 4 Eagle statues per film; the film "Chce się żyć" has been the winner of five. One Eagle Award was granted to each of the films: "Dziewczyna z szafy", "Imagine" and "Inny świat".

Jarosław Kamiński, the head of the school editing faculty, is one of the Eagle winners for best editing for the film "Ida" by Paweł Pawlikowski. Our school cinematography graduates Krzysztof Ptak and Wojciech Staroń received the Eagle award for the best photography for the film "Papusza" by Joanna Kos-Krauze and Krzysztof Krauze. Lodz Film School direction graduate BodoKox received the Eagle in the category "the discovery of the year" for direction of the film "Dziewczyna z szafy".

The selection for the Eagles 2014 nominations was made out of 46 Polish fiction films and their authors, and in "the best documentary film" category the Polish Film Academy members have made their choice out of 55 productions. The nominees were announced in February.
