Dear Lecturers, Students, PhD Students and Administrative Staff!

I would like to warmly greet you on the first day of my term of office and thank you once again for the trust you have shown me by entrusting me with the function of Rector of the Lodz Film School. Today, I am accompanied by many emotions, many hopes, but also fears. The 2020/21 academic year will be difficult. By observing how we have been doing as a community in recent months, I believe that we will be able to work, study, create, share good energy and maintain the feeling that we are together even though we are not allowed to get close.

I would like to assure you that I and the entire team - Vice-Rectors, Plenipotentiaries, Deans and Heads of Faculties, Student and Doctoral Students' Councils, Chancellor and employees are working hard to prepare the School for the beginning of the new academic year. We face the need to adapt to many difficult constraints, but I do not believe that the Lecturers and Students of the School will allow themselves to have all their time and energy taken up by dealing with the pandemic. I am sure that, as every year, you will bring creative enthusiasm, a lot of faith and optimism to Targowa Street.

Although I am starting my term in the shadow of the pandemic, I am not going to forget the plans, dreams and ideas that so many of you have shared with me. I remember the promises I made and I will do my best to keep them. We are about to start - me, Vice-Rectors and new Deans. We count on your cooperation and support. I invite all of you to make our dream of the Lodz Film School come true.
