The final award of the evening — in the Theatrical Release category — was presented by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science (Oscars) president John Bailey, ASC to Łukasz Żal, PSC for his work in "Cold War".
Unfortunately, Łukasz Żal was out of town working on another project, but camera operator Ernest Wilczyński accepted the award on Łukasz Żal’s behalf. This is Łukasz Żal’s second ASC Award win. He previous earned a Spotlight Award for his co-cinematography duties with Ryszard Lenczewsk on "Ida".
Łukasz Żal is the Lodz Film School graduate from the Cinematography Department.
