Central European Feature Project is a development programme for students and graduates of the three schools. International film groups are working in Lodz this week.

Central European Feature Project is a screenplay development programme for the students and graduates from FAMU (Prague), dffb (Berlin) and Polish National Film School (Łódź). Its aim is to prepare screenplays of low budget fiction films.

Each school delegated two teams (screenwriter/director & producer), who work on their projects during the three workshop meetings. Our school is represented by totally female teams: the first team: Monika Dembińska - screenplay Aleksandra Maciejczyk – direction & Marta Gmosińska – production are working on the project "Draembody" (working title), and the second team: Dominika Khalil – screenplay, Zuzanna Sławińska – direction & Adrianna Fal – production, are working on the project - "Suddenly by the sea" (working title).

Each team pairs with another team from a different country and their work is supported by a screenplay consultant. (so a group working together may consist of, for example, Lodz Film School team and FAMU team plus a dffb consultant).

The consultants are professional screenwriters/script doctors: Eva Papouskova (FAMU), Andrzej Mellin (Lodz Film School), Ellis Freeman (dffb) . The first workshop took place in the Czech Republic in April where each team worked out a general idea for a future film. The second workshop is taking place in Lodz right now, the result of which is supposed to be a solid treatment. For the third workshop in Germany in November the first draft of a screenplay should be ready.
