/RESTART IS OVER – SEE PHOTOS!/ We begin our DKF (film society club) RESTART initiated by Film Art Organization Department. RESTART for a good start: 12th March.
Following the tradition of START members, founders of, among others, Film School in Łódź we reactivate the movement "Restart of Polish cinema" We watch films, discuss and animate all for the development of Polish film, reaching for it’s precious traditions.
We begin with a meeting (12th March, Monday, at 19.00) that is centred around Łukasz Biskupski’s latest book "Involved Cinephilia. The Society for the Promotion of Film Art START and exploring film culture in Poland in the 1930’s”. Also included in the event's programme are unique screenings of films "Today there is a ball" dir. Tadeusz Kowalski, Jerzy Zarzycki (1931) and "Industrial symphony" dir. Joris Ivens (1931).
