This time, Renata Gąsiorowska’s film wins the BEST ANIMATION and the FEMALE FILMMAKERS AWARD at the International Film Schools’ Festival in Munich.

The International Film Schools’ Festival in Munich is one of the most important festivals of student films in the world that is why the festival prizes are highly appreciated.

Let’s have a closer look at the jury’s verdict:

BEST ANIMATION: "Pussy" Renata Gąsiorowska (Lodz Film School). The jury statement reads: "PUSSY is a daring, playful, creative and smart film which shows us intimate moments, and at the same time uncovers political and social issues which usually stay quiet. It's a film that empowers both male and female individuals to accept their bodies and desires. We just love it!"

FEMALE FILMMAKERS AWARD: "Pussy" Renata Gąsiorowska (Lodz Film School).
The jury statement reads: "For us, PUSSY is an inspiration to discover who we really are, no matter if you are a male or female or both or whatever! And you'll see, if you understand yourself, there is confidence in it. There is the strength and the power enough to peacefully overcome every struggle. If you want a better future you will have to start with yourself"

Renata Gąsiorowska’s film was made at the Lodz Film School under the artistic supervision of Mariusz Wilczyński and Joanna Jasińska. It has already received a number of prizes, the latest and most important being the AFI FEST award qualifying for the Oscar competition!

We keep our fingers crossed.
