ASC Spotlight Award will be introduced this year at the ASC Awards. "Ida" with cinematography by Lukasz Zal and Ryszard Lenczewski, is one of the three nominees. The winner will be announced on 1 Feb.

Spotlight Award will be introduced this year at the ASC Awards. The purpose of
this new award is to recognize cinematography which may not receive wide
theatrical exposure. "Ida", with cinematography by Lukasz Zal and
Ryszard Lenczewski, is one of the three nominees in this category.
The winner will be announced on Saturday February 1 at the ASC Awards in Hollywood.
The film "Ida" directed by Paweł Pawlikowski and produced by Opus Film, a Lodz studio run by Piotr Dzięcioł, production organization graduate of the Lodz Film School; Director of Photography: Lukasz Zal and Ryszard Lenczewski, both cinematography graduates from the Lodz Film School (prof. Lenczewski is currently Vice Dean of Direction of Photography Dept.); Editing: Jarosław Kamiński, lecturer at the Lodz Film School – has won the 38th Gdynia Polish Feature Film Festival, the 29th Warsaw Film Festival and the 57th London Film Festival.
