Andrzej Kopiczyński, a Lodz Film School acting graduate died at the age of 82.

Andrzej Kopiczyński graduated from the Lodz Theatre School in 1958. Initially, he worked at the theatres in Olsztyn, Szczecin and Koszalin and since 1970 in Warszawa, at Narodowy Theatre (1970-79), and Teatr Kwadrat (1986-2011). In the 60-ties he played in the films such as "Zakochani są między nami" by Jan Rutkiewicz, "Święta wojna" and "Czekam w Monte-Carlo" by Julian Dziedzina, and also "150 na godzinę" by Wanda Jakubowska. In 1972, he played the leading role in a film "Kopernik" by Ewa & Czesław Petelski. However, it was not until a role of an engineer Stefan Karwowski from the series "Czterdziestolatek" by Jerzy Gruza that he became very popular.  He was a supporting actor in such films as "Noce i dnie" by Jerzy Antczak, "Znachor" by Jerzy Hoffman, and "Korczak" by Andrzej Wajda.
