THE SCHOOL

The School’s Film Archive was created in 1948.

Its main goal is to collect and develop a collection of films for the didactic needs of the school.  Our collection is also available to other cultural institutions, television stations as well as screenings and film festivals.The archive works together with the National Film Archive, the Educational Film Studio, the Documentary Film Studio and the Cinematography Museum in Lodz. 

 

In our collection we possess approximately 2300 fiction films and over 400 documentary films, and also archive copies of animation, educational and instructional films, as well as approximately 4000 student films by PWSFTviT students.We also have a collection of VHS, S-VHS and BETA cassettes (approx. 5000 titles) and DVDs (approx. 900 titles), which are available at no cost for didactic needs as well as for students to borrow.
