Studies in the Directing Film and Television Department in the specialty of Screenwriting are available in the system of part-time Bachelor’s studies. The program lasts 3 years or 6 semesters. During the 3 years at our school there is a total number of 2200 hours, whereas the standard number of hours for such an education is 1024.
Students are educated in the area of mastering practical work and fundamental notions related to screenwriting. This includes fiction film as well as television form. Moreover, an assigned task is transmitting knowledge of film, theater and literature in such a way that students will be able to freely move about in the thematic area.
The final effect of studies is to make a student ready to work as a screenwriter, who has mastered different script forms, created not only for commercial goals but also as an expression of more serious artistic works. After receiving positive grades and defending their diploma work (which is a feature film length script) a graduate earns the professional title of Bachelor of Screenwriting.
