Polish citizens or holders of a current Polish passport, as well as EU citizens can apply for full-time free studies. They take the entrance exam in Polish in June and follow the same rules that apply to Polish citizens.
Other candidates can apply for the full-time paid studies and take the exam in English in September. After passing the exam the candidates must pay for and attend a one-year Polish language course before they can begin their first year of studies.
EXAM FEES
The exam requires a fee, which is to be paid in the office of your chosen Department just before the exam. After submitting your application the exam fee is non-refundable.
For the academic year 2012/ 2013 the exam fees are as follows:
Film and TV Directing Dept. - 150 PLN
Cinematograhy and TV Production Dept. - 150 PLN
Acting Dept. - 130 PLN
Film Production and Management Dept. - 85 PLN
STUDENT RESIDENCE
During the exam period it’s possible to book living accommodations (one must pay for) with advance notice given to the Dean’s Office of the chosen Department. Our Student Housing Dormitory, where we ordinarily place candidates, is located on 189/191 Piotrkowska Street.
There is a cafeteria and student buffet on the school’s campus where students can purchase food during the exam period.
Annual tuition fees in the academic year 2012/ 2013 are as follows:
a) EUR 6,000 – consolidated Master’s Degree programme at the Acting Department;
b) EUR 10,000 – consolidated Master’s Degree programme at the Cinematography
and Television Production Department;
c) EUR 6,000 – consolidated Master’s Degree programme at the Photography Department;
d) EUR 10,000 – Bachelor’s Degree (first-degree) programme at the Directing Department;
e) EUR 11,000 – Master’s Degree (second-degree) programme for students who completed
the Bachelor’s Degree programme at the Directing Department;
f) EUR 13,000 – Master’s Degree (second-degree) programme for students other than the School graduates at the Directing Department;
g) EUR 6,000 – Bachelor’s Degree programme in Film Editing;
h) EUR 6,000 – consolidated Master’s Degree programme in Animation and Special Effects;
i) EUR 4,000 – Bachelor’s, Master’s and postgraduate programmes at the Department of Film Art Management and Production;
j) EUR 4,000 – student practical placements and internships;
k) EUR 2,000 – a one-year Polish language course preparing for undertaking the studies*.
*NOTE: All the programmes are conducted in Polish. If the candidate knows Polish, he/ she can begin the studies without attending the preparatory language course. Otherwise, the course is obligatory.
