The graduates of a 5-year full-time Master's Program in FILM ANIMATION AND SPECIAL EFFECTS will be the world’s leading future creators of film animation and special effects.
BASIC RULES
Polish citizens or holders of a current Polish passport, as well as EU citizens can apply for full-time free studies. They take the entrance exam in Polish in June and follow the same rules that apply to Polish citizens.
Applicants for the full-time paid studies take the exam in English in September. A foreigner must pay for and attend a one-year Polish language course before they can begin their first year of studies.
The annual tuition fee is 6,000 EURO. The fee for the obligatory one-year Polish language course is 2,000 EURO.
In the recruitment process the grades and test results from high school diplomas or other studies (regardless of whether the results are new or old or from an international school) will not be acknowledged. The acceptance to the School is based on the candidate’s tested artistic talents and career predispositions, as well as the quality of works produced during the entrance exams.

The exam requires a fee of 150 PLN, which is to be paid in the Cinematography Department office just before the exam. After submitting the application documents the exam fee is not refunded.
The exam is in Polish or English. If you would like to take the exam in another language, please let us know in advance.
The exam ends with a discussion with the candidate about the works submitted as well as those produced during the exam, and their knowledge of culture in the modern world. Acceptance to the School will depend on the success of the candidate’s performance in the exam, which tests: their artistic talents, career predispositions, as well as the quality of the candidate’s presented portfolio.
The recruitment commission’s decision can be challenged or repealed only if the recruitment commission broke the promised recruitment conditions and proceedings.
GETTING TO THE SCHOOL
The Cinematography and Television Production Department is located on the campus of the Polish National Film, Tv and Theatre School on Targowa Street 61/63, building A.
STUDENT RESIDENCE
During the exam period it’s possible to reserve accommodation (one must pay for) with advance notice given to the Dean’s Office of the Cinematography Department. Our Student Housing Dormitory, where we ordinarily place candidates, is located on 189/191 Piotrkowska Street.
There is a cafeteria and a cantine on the school’s campus where students can purchase food during the exam period.
