Apparently the albatross when looses its partner tends to return as long as it lives to the place where it encountered the partner for the first time.

The 3rd year cinematography students’ workshop under the supervision of Prof. Elżbieta Protakiewicz and Prof. Ewa Bloom-Kwiatkowska took place in Kazimierz near Lutomiersk. The students Mateusz Czuchnowski, Tomasz Wierzbicki, Filip Lyman and Krystian Stępień worked as cinematographers on the film project „Albatross” which was directed by Mateusz Czuchnowski.

Dawn; A village situated in a  beautiful Polish countryside. The wedding celebrations come to an end. A farmer and his wife come to take over their farm from the newly weds. The bridegroom asks the farmer to have the last toast. The farmer starts a game in which he involves the wedding guests.

- Our aim was to create the world of magical realism. We wanted to present situations which happen in people’s lives for the first and the last time and point out the discrepancy between those who look forward to the future and those who look back. - says Mateusz Czuchnowski.
