Our student, Maria Dębska, is the Grand Prix winner of the 34th Drama Schools’ Festival for roles of Mary Stuart and Doctor/Dignitary in “Baby Doll”.

34th Drama Schools’ Festival Jury Verdict of 15 May, 2016

The Jury consisting of
1. Agata Duda-Gracz (President)
2. Piotr Kruszczyński
3. Marta Nieradkiewicz
4. Tomasz Wasilewski
5. Wioletta Laszczka-Bubień (Secretary) having watched twelve plays performed by final year students from four Polish drama schools from Warsaw, Cracow, Wroclaw and Lodz decided to grant the Grand Prix for excellent performance to Maria Dębska from the Lodz Film School for the title role in the play “Mary Stuart” and the role of Doctor/Dignitary in the play “Baby Doll”. The Prize in the amount of 15,000 PLN was funded by vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Prof. Piotr Gliński.

The Jury granted three Main Prizes, in the amount of 5,000 PLN each, to:
- Małgorzata Biela from Cracow Drama School for the role of Halina/Monika in the play „Między nami dobrze jest”
- Magdalena Celmer from Lodz Film School for the role of Aunt Rose Comfort in the play „Baby Doll”,
- Maja Pankiewicz from Lodz Film School for the role of Queen Elisabeth in the play „Mary Stuart”.

The Jury granted 10 distinctions in the amount of 1,000 PLN each to:
- Mateusz Bierytow from Cracow Drama School for a role of Man in the play „Między nami dobrze jest” ,
- Pola Błasik from Wrocław Branch for a role of Nina Zarieczna in the play „Mewa” and the title role in the play „Orlando”,
- Bartłomiej Cabajow from Cracow Drama School for a role of Mikołaj in the play „Jednak Płatonow”,
- Artur Caturianow from Wroclaw Branch for the title role in the play „Orlando”,
- Stephanie Jaskot from Cracow Drama School for a role of Mathy in the play „Dogville”,
- Mateusz Korsak from Cracow Drama School for a role of Hipolit in the play „Jednak Płatonow”,
- Jakub Nosiadek from Lodz Film School for a role of Szambelan in the play „Iwona, Księżniczka Burgunda” and the role of Mortimer in the play „Mary Stuart”,
- Oskar Stoczyński from Lodz Film School for a role of Archie Lee Meighan in the play „Baby Doll” and a role of Walenty in the play „Iwona, Księżniczka Burgunda”,
- Karolina Wasilewska from Cracow Film School for a role of Osowiała Staruszka in the play „Miedzy nami dobrze jest”,
- Magdalena Żak from Lodz Film School for the title role in the play „Baby Doll”.
