First she studied art, then film direction. Justyna Łuczaj-Salej opened her exhibition and introduced us to the unusual world of "Horse Tail".

Justyna Łuczaj’s Exhibition "Horse Tail", which is an introduction to her new film, opened at the Conservatory Gallery last Friday, 13th May.

- For art you pay with your life - said Justyna Łuczaj during the opening of her exhibition “Horse Tail” at the Film School Conservatory gallery yesterday.
- Horses have always evoked fear and respect in me, although at the same time I think they represent the purest beauty which exists in the world. To me stables are places where danger and eeriness are lurking. It is the world of animal instincts where the highest beauty can be found next to horse droppings.

- It turns out that classical art of painting, the medium that seemed to have died out and disappear, still has a tremendous power - said Prof. Mariusz Grzegorzek at the exhibition opening – The film, which is about to follow now will have to seek for other means of expression to preserve and convey this power.

The Film will be produced by the Indeks Studio and its artistic supervisor will be Prof. Mariusz Grzegorzek.

Justyna Łuczaj-Salej was born in Krosno on 9 July, 1975. She’s a director, screenwriter, painter and television producer. She graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Cracow and film direction at the Lodz Film School. At present she is a PhD student at the Lodz Film School.
