Marcin Gula, a production student, and Jan Grobliński, a cinematography student, made a film about a “Polish school” built in Jacmel, Haiti.

The money in the amount of a million dollars raised in Poland after the Earthquake in Haiti in 2010, entirely financed the building of a school which was named after the Pope John Paul II. The school is a place of education for 600 Haitan children. The school building was designed by Polish architects and built by the local workmen.

The documentary film presenting the story of the school being built with Polish financial support made by our students Marcin Gula and Jan Grobliński was commissioned and co-produced by TVP Info channel and co- financed by the Lodz Film School. The film will be finished in May. Apart from the film itself the students came up with two reportages one of which was already broadcast on TVP INFO on 23, April.
