Zuza and I always know why we make a film – says Jagoda Szelc, a direction student whose film "Such a landscape" with photography of Zuzanna Pyda is competing at the 21st Camerimage Festival.

- Zuza and I always know why we make a film – says Jagoda Szelc, a film direction student from the Lodz Film School - and the film title refers to a certain state. Such means to me "the one you want", "just", and "landscape" means "everything", "widely" – she explains. The film "Such a Landscape" by Jagoda Szelc, photography: Zuzanna Pyda, has been selected for the Student Film Competition section of the 21st Camerimage Festival which takes place in Bydgoszcz from 16 till 23 November, 2013.  The artistic supervisors of the film "Taki pejzaż" are Mariusz Grzegorzek and Ryszard Lenczewski.

Jagoda Szelc about making the film "Such a landscape": - In order to free oneself from the fear of Death, in my opinion, five states/deeds are required: perceive the miracle, compensate for the sin – even in a small way, repent sometimes for one’s doings  – I could never understand the people who say they don’t regret anything; pray and forgive. The film is a present for Mila, an important girl to me, for her first birthday. I think that one day I will have to teach her, as an old aunt, how to die. I would like to be able to do it peacefully. About the work with her director of photography: - With Zuza and the rest of the crew we are an ideal team. It is great to be able to work with somebody as talented as Zuza. And what is extremely important is the fact that we always know why we are making a given film. Apparently love means two souls in one body.
