- I wanted to show something different, something I do not know, or understand, - says Marta Prus, a direction student from the Lodz Film School.

Her documentary "Osiemnastka" (artistic supervision: Maciej Drygas, Mirosław Dembiński, dop Przemysław Brynkiewicz) was the Grand Prix winner, the cash winner of 3,000 PLN and the "Golden Eye" statue winner at the 6th Documentary Film Festival "Okiem Młodych" in Świdnica.

The jury including: Tadeusz Sobolewski (jury president), Jędrzej Morawiecki, Paweł Wysoczański, awarded the prize for „the sense of rhythm, composition coherence, for providing such a strong story which could easily be suitable for a full length documentary. But most of all for the sincere presentation of the protagonist, sensitivity of the observation, as well as natural narration which does not overwhelm with brutality.

The documentary "Osiemnastka" is a great film portrait of a girl from a youth detention centre who can’t wait for her 18th birthday to enjoy her maturity having left the centre.
